My latest embroidery project has been on hold with the end-of-semester crazies setting in… But I thought I would take the time to document the process, because it is by far the best looking stitch I’ve made. (hint: it’s citrus-themed!) I also want to document some of the other “projects” I have done to keep myself busy, including cooking and baking! One thing I’ve noticed is a hard thing to remind myself is to take photos of the process… Sometimes it’s so easy to get carried away and only photograph the final product (for both in the kitchen and while stitching!)
This past winter, I had a citrus obsession and ate a LOT of yummy cara cara oranges, blood oranges, and tangelos. I even baked an upside down winter citrus cake, and cooked up a delicious brown butter, lemon, and parmesan pasta!
This inspired me to create a citrus-themed embroidery project, where I hope to create a variety of citrus designs. I began with the lemon, and have photographed the process thus far below:
